Boroondara is home to a thriving volunteering community and you are invited to help us celebrate National Volunteer Week as we celebrate the remarkable contribution volunteers make in the Boroondara community!

Join us for our afternoon event on Thursday 23 May to say ‘thank you’ to local volunteers and find out the recipients of this year’s Boroondara Volunteer Awards.

At the event:

  • Hear the Mayor of Boroondara provide a National Volunteer Day address
  • Enjoy a live music performance over afternoon tea
  • Hear the announcement of the Boroondara Volunteer Awards

When: Thursday 23 May, 4pm to 5:30pm

Location: Chandelier Room, Hawthorn Arts Centre, 360 Burwood Road Hawthorn

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre (BVRC) encourages active participation in the life of the community by promoting, supporting and resourcing volunteering within the City of Boroondara and surrounding areas.

The centre offers information, referral and support services for people who are currently volunteers or who would like to become volunteers, and also community-based organisations that coordinate volunteer programs.

All services offered through the BVRC are free of charge to both volunteers and organisations.
